Love My Phone Accessories

If you are over 30 likely you have given a lot of thought to that little buzzing mobile phone attached to your hip, clipped in your ear, or riding in your purse. It's an amazing device and almost no one leaves home without it, and even at home it is a constant companion, often use in place of a traditional landline. Those over 30 remember the times before cell phones. Most young folks born after 1980 were weaned on at least the earliest, clunky versions of today's sleek tiny phones and children born in the double ohs carry cell phones to nursery school. Gone are the days of party lines (okay, you might have to be a little older than 40 to remember those), the days when family's had one phone, either in the living room or kitchen, and it was actually used primarily for important information, and maybe mom keeping up with her bridge club. Cell phones are such an integral part of our lives now that every form official and not asks for a cell phone number and you never need to be out of reach of anyone wishing to talk to you no matter where you are. Shoppers carry their cell phones to their ear as they wander the aisles or talk into Bluetooth earpieces—in any other era of history our entire civilization would appear to be wandering lunatics talking to ourselves as we rush about. It isn't enough just to have the latest mobile phone either, even though the latest technology releases almost daily and today's cell phones are minutely amazing machines capable of Internet connections, and TV viewing that far eclipses any original concept considered. Everyone from business men and women to housewives and kindergarteners have to have all the latest mobile phone accessories too from Bluetooths that allow hands free talking to carrying cases and screen protectors. It isn't strange at all to see mobile phones decorated with semi-precious, and even precious stones, changeable casings that let the user have a 'new' phone anytime they change the cover—decorations aren't just for children, grownups with phones encrusted in enough bling to make any rap star drool travel the highways, byways and supermarkets from New York to Boise. New styles become the rage and the latest have to have along with all the requisite hardware mobile accessories to make them work, and give them more performance. In some cases new advanced technology provides good reason for the popularity of a new form of phone but in some cases it is a matter of brand status. In some cases the hoopla over a particular type of phone is warranted, in others a pretty 'face' or kitschy application or program makes a mobile phone a must have one minute and yesterday's news the next. It doesn't take much for a brand to become hot news. A few celebrity carriers or investment mogul yakking away on their new cell phone and everyone has to have one. Sometimes it isn't even a matter of national celebrity but the cool kid on the block who has the latest gadget and then every kid in school is begging their parents on hand and knee for one just like it. The mobile phone industry has spawned an entire slew of accompanying technology such as chargers, various attachments that allow computer transfers, car charging and even items that are designed to hold a driver's cell phone in view on the dashboard so they can talk into their ear piece and still see who is calling on the screen or who they want to dial. There are other decorations and lanyards developed for cell phones so their owners can wear them around their neck, or clip cases to keep them secured to their sides or purses. Where ever you go you mobile phone is there with you. Voice mail has replaced the need for answering machines and you rarely ever miss a call because you are always 'home' with your cell phone at your hip. It's a wondrous invention and one could wonder if the original inventors could have foreseen the immense popularity of their concept, or what it would become almost 30 years later.
